Sound vibrations can be felt and heard by little ones even before they are born, and this sensory input lasts a lifetime.
Nicola New has taught across all ages, including running workshops within nurseries, pre-schools, respite units and paediatric hospitals. She has also worked as music teacher and co-ordinator within a school for children with complex and profound special needs.
Music and creative arts sessions positively contribute towards each of the EYFS key areas of learning and development, whilst also being lots of fun!
Nicky is looking forward to running the following creative and sensory group sessions on a Saturday morning for the Royal Arsenal School of Music:
Each class will involve music, movement, colour, stories and games. Bring your little ones along with their favourite toy; they can journey together and explore a lifelong world of sound.
If your child has special needs, please feel free to join the younger age group for sensory music.
Our next Early Years Club course (Tiny & Toddler Tunes) will be running for six consecutive Saturdays in the Autumn Term from 6th November until 11th December. The full course booking is no longer available but you can also book the classes as a drop-in, space depending. Please visit our homepage to book your space.
Attending these early years classes will move your child higher up on the waiting list for when they would like to start their instrumental lessons. Spaces in classes are limited so get in touch if you are keen to join!
