Jazz and Popular Music

Alongside our thriving classical music department we are pleased to offer lessons in Jazz and Popular Music. We are able to assist students who have goals of being part of a band, wanting to revive old passions from childhood, or if you are wanting to follow an exam syllabus we enter for both Rock School and Trinity exam boards.

We offer guidance for those wanting to improvise, learn to play by ear, and an introduction to music reading and harmony for those wishing to develop these skills.

We offer lessons on guitar, saxophone, bass, drums and keys to students of all ages. We can arrange band rehearsals and encourage all students to play in groups formed both in and out of the school.
